The AUA Acopian Center for the Environment has developed partnerships with high schools in Yerevan on ecological and ornithological education programs which include field trips and the formation of eco-clubs. Participating students write blogs about their field visits and activities, gaining valuable experience in scientific reporting. Some students are also doing projects of value beyond their personal gains. One student has translated into Armenian a book on birds. Another group of students is preparing coloring books that will teach younger children how to identify birds based on color patterns.
