Description:
The Workshop was part of the Managing the Regulated Wild Plant Collection in Armenia project, which aimed to support the Armenian government’s efforts to effectively manage regulated collection of wild plants. The project offered legislative and literature reviews of the sector and supports multi-stakeholder consultations to develop an action agenda for policymakers. The project was funded by the US Embassy in Armenia and implemented by the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment in partnership with the RA Ministry of Environment and Timeland Foundation.

The purpose of this workshop was to offer key stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society representatives (including representatives of communities with large-scale wild harvesting practices), businesses, research and academic institutions, and international organizations, a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences, to facilitate a broad and inclusive input into policymaking for the sector.
