Renewable Energy and Sustainable Solutions

About the event (Agenda)

The American University of Armenia (AUA) and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) hosted the fourth set of lectures in the Yerevan Series on Engineering and Sustainability*. The lectures lasted three days and were delivered by Prof. Marius Costel Balan from the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iaşi (Romania). The workshop lasted from April 17-19, 2018, 15:15 -18:30, and covered three topics:

  • Renewable Energy: Introduction to the nZEB Concept
  • Renewable Systems: nZEB Solutions
  • Thermal Energy Storage

Participation was free of charge and was open to engineers, economists, educators, and policymakers.

About the speaker

Marius Costel Balan

Marius Costel Balan is a lecturer from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iaşi (Romania). His competences include refrigeration installation, heat pumps, renewable energy, interior comfort and building services in construction.

 

(*) The Yerevan Series on Engineering and Sustainability has a number of talks and workshops planned for 2017 and 2018. The Series is offered within the frames of the Erasmus+ MARUEEB Project. The academic partners from Armenia are AUA and NPUA.
