Science and Expert Advice in Armenia’s Policy Decisions

Academics, experts, scientists, practitioners, journalists, or policymakers were invited to submit a paper for publication by the American University of Armenia as part of its EU Horizon 2020 PERITIA project.

Papers were of epistemological, political, institutional, or social aspects, including science and expert advice in governance. The papers were submitted in Armenian or English. The broad topic areas and the questions of interest were as follows:

  1. Politics of expert/science policy advice in Armenia
  2. Institutional assessment of expert/science policy advice
  3. Sociology of expert/science policy advice in Armenia
  4. Political epistemology: contemplation on how facts and expert advice influence Armenia’s political decision making
