Nine (9) teams were awarded small grants to implement the projects. The nine grant-winning teams implemented their projects and had to prepare a presentation in time for the National Wrap-Up Festival on December 1 in Chambarak.
The winning projects included projects on:
Greenhouse, Energy Audits on Buildings and Solar Drier Workshop in Chambarak
A separate workshop was organized in Chambarak on November 17, 2018 for the residents of the Getik Valley, as well as the grant-winning teams on the following topics:
a) Energy Audits on Buildings
b) Greenhouse design, construction and use
c) Solar drier design, manufacturing and use
The workshop consisted of activities, lectures and round-table discussions on the potential of greenhouses and solar driers in the Getik Valley. The workshop also consisted of an energy audit activity, where the participants were divided into groups and within the workshop’s building, they ran an activity on how to implement an energy audit.
