Citizen Science and Water Literacy in Schools

We are pleased to host Luigi Ceccaroni from Earthwatch UK at the American University of Armenia to give a presentation about the role of citizen science in promoting water literacy. We cordially invite you to this seminar on September 18, 2024, from 14:00 to 15:00 at 233W Conference Room, PAB.

Luigi will talk about how the ProBleu project, he coordinates, fosters water literacy, with a particular focus on Armenia, and Earthwatch’s citizen science initiatives! You will discover how citizen scientists make a tangible difference in understanding and addressing pressing environmental challenges. You will be introduced to the innovative methodologies used in the different projects and gain insights from Earthwatch’s rich experience engaging communities in scientific research.

About the speaker
Luigi Ceccaroni manages innovation and strategic research at Earthwatch, an independent research organization in Oxford, UK. He is the author of over 100 publications on citizen science, the environment, artificial intelligence, and personalized medicine – topics he is passionate about. Luigi was the vice-chair of the European Citizen Science Association in 2019-2020.
