Climapolis–Youth in Climate Action

About the Event

AUA student Narek Ohanyan is sponsored by UNICEF to attend COP27, the annual global Climate Change Conference. During his talk at AUA, he discusses his mission on this trip and presents the board game “Climapolis” which he designed for school students and young adults (12+). The game is about climate adaptation based on achieving 12 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants also have the opportunity to play “Climapolis,” which will be made public for the first time.  Mkrtich Dallakyan, programme officer (Climate Change), Adolescent and Community Participation, UNICEF, delivered a brief presentation about our Climate Change programme.

Mkrtich Dallakyan is a development practitioner and consultant with a track record of implementing effective development projects and aligning strategies to produce partnerships for impact. His areas of specialization include inclusive development, youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship, multi-channel fundraising, results-based management, and grant management. He holds master’s degrees in Management of International Development from the University of Turin, ITCILO and Development Policies and Practices from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
