Venture Competition

Environmental Sustainability, Clean Technology, Conservation, Energy Tech

Entrepreneurs and New Ventures interested in Energy and Environmental Sustainability are invited to participate in a Venture Competition organized by AUA’s Energy Transitions for Climate Solutions initiative.

The interested teams should submit their applications here. Participating teams will need to provide a business plan or slide deck. Shortlisted participants will pitch their startup to a jury.

Eligibility:

• Teams comprised of at least two people
• Venture must already have an operational MVP or prototype
• Teams must be a startup or part of a startup
• Innovators need to be sustainability-focused
• Teams/startup must be based in Armenia
• Must be For-Profit

Prizes:

Based on quality of venture and technology, the jury will determine if startup or venture is eligible to participate in the invitation-only EarthX E-Capital Summit in April 2024 in Dallas, Texas, USA. Subject to finding a suitable start up, Ramsis Capital will finance up to 2 participants (this includes return airline costs, accommodation, visa costs and EarthX E-Capital Summit participation costs). The costs of local transport and meals should be covered by the start up. In the event that a suitable startup is not found, Ramsis Capital will provide a prize of $1,500 awarded to 1 or 2 startups as determined by the jury.

Jury will be made up of representatives from the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment, AUA Entrepreneurship and Product Innovation Center (EPIC), Ramsis Capital, and EarthX. Evaluation criteria will include business life cycle/stage, commercialization/technology risk, management team, product-market fit, environmental sustainability impact, MVP/prototype stage, market potential, etc.
