The American University of Armenia (AUA) and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) hosted a workshop on “Sustainable Development: Theory and Implementation Methods.” The workshop was led by Prof. dr. hab. Jurgis Staniškis and Prof. dr. Eglė Staniškienė of the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania). The workshop, held from November 14-17, 2017, 14:00-17:30, covered a range of topics including definition, principles and challenges of sustainable development, the science of sustainability, methods of implementation of sustainable economic development (including circular economy, environmental management systems, eco-design, life-cycle assessment, and sustainable consumption), and sustainability education. The workshops included lectures and group activities.
