EFFORTS IN ARMENIA TO USE GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE
Real Estate Cadastre Committee of the Republic of Armenia and American University of Armenia’s (AUA) GIS and Remote Sensing Lab 1 are organizing a one-day meeting on “Efforts in Armenia to Use Geographic Information Systems for Effective Governance.”
The aim of the workshop is to identify the efforts in Armenia to use GIS for public policy decision-making and governance. The meeting will try to identify paths for harmonizing existing GIS mapping initiatives, with the ultimate aim of improving the mapping databases in the country.
We invited all interested organizations, researchers, and businesses in Armenia, including state or self-governing bodies, educational institutions, research organizations, etc. to have a 5-10 minute presentation on their current and planned activities.
